Joining the launch list

If you choose to join, we store your email address, the time you signed up, the version of the consent wording, the website source and the page language. We use this to keep a record of your choice and send Housetold launch news. Our basis for these updates is your consent. Joining is optional and does not create an app account or paid subscription.

You can withdraw at any time by emailing us. Any launch emails will also provide an unsubscribe option. Withdrawing does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew. We keep your signup while it is needed for the launch updates you requested, or until you withdraw. We will remove the address when that purpose ends, unless a legal obligation requires a limited record to be retained.

Trade launch news

The separate trade-interest form asks for your email and your consent to news about Housetold for trades and the planned directory. You can optionally tell us your trade category, country and broad service area so we can understand demand. Please do not supply a full address. We store these details with your signup time, consent wording version, trade audience and purpose, and source page.

This choice is separate from owner launch updates. Joining both lists keeps both choices; joining one does not subscribe you to the other. Repeating a trade signup does not replace your earlier details or consent. Contact us to correct your details.

To withdraw or request deletion, email [email protected] and tell us whether you mean trade news, owner news or both. A request to stop all updates applies to both lists. We use trade signup details on the basis of your consent for the requested launch news and demand planning, and keep them while needed for that purpose or until you withdraw. We do not create a public listing or share your details with property owners. No trade campaign is currently operating; future marketing emails must include a working unsubscribe option.

Keeping the form secure

Cloudflare hosts the website and stores the launch lists in its D1 database. It processes connection information such as your IP address, browser and request details to deliver and protect the service. The signup service uses your IP address to create a rotating, keyed security identifier for rate limiting; it does not put your raw IP address in the signup database. Rate-limit records expire after two hours and are cleared during subsequent successful signup processing. Security processing supports our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and keeping the website reliable.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics runs only if you select “Allow analytics”. It helps us understand page visits and successful signup actions using information such as page paths, device/browser information and approximate location. We do not send your email, trade category or service-area form entries to Google Analytics. A trade form success event measures submissions, including repeats; unique trade interest is counted from separate signup records. Advertising features and automatic form measurement are disabled.

Analytics uses cookies, including cookies whose names begin with _ga. Your analytics choice is saved in your browser for 180 days so we can respect it. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice. Declining does not stop you exploring the website or signing up. If you withdraw, we stop analytics collection from this page and clear its Google Analytics cookies; this does not automatically erase information already collected by Google.

Providers and international processing

We use Cloudflare for hosting, security and signup storage, and Google for optional analytics. These providers operate internationally, so processing may take place outside your country, including outside the UK. Their applicable data-processing terms provide safeguards for international transfers. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. We do not sell your signup details.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy. Contact us using the address above to make a request. UK visitors can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office; visitors elsewhere can contact their local privacy regulator.

Exploring the website

The example homes, people, messages and property records are illustrative. This website does not collect property scans, tenant records or camera, microphone or location permissions. External links lead to websites with their own privacy practices. The app will have its own privacy information explaining the data used by its features before accounts are offered.
